so, I read my first Wolverine comic last night… Captain America was there, Wolverine was a petulant 4 year old with an attitude problem and then was really precious at the end. Captain America was just kind of trying to sort things out awkwardly and somewhat ineffectually the whole time. it was pretty great, I wanted to hug them both, so that’s probably a good sign.

Would anyone like to talk about the fact that MIA stirred up controversy for flipping the bird at the Super Bowl but it’s acceptable to say ‘fuck’ in a PG-13 movie?
Meh. The occasional use isn’t all that bad.
HOWEVER, the other day I was re-watching Airplane II, a PG rated film, and forgot entirely about the metal detector scene. Several pairs of chesticles were on display. How’d that movie get a PG?
Because the PG-13 rating didn’t exist until 1984. Airplane II was released in 1982.
The films “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” and “Gremlins” recieved many complaints from parents for all the gore and violence.
I remember the publicity over Gremlins, but not Indy.
